2020-2021 – The educational turnaround

COVID and the birth of JadEr

The COVID crisis marks a decisive turning point in ABRAM’s history. Health restrictions prevented any direct, structuring action in the Brazilian field. The association could no longer intervene other than by raising and sending funds to support local populations, in response to the social emergency.

This inability to take physical action acted as a wake-up call. ABRAM then became aware of the urgent need for a concrete commitment in Luxembourg, where it is legally anchored and fully operational.

It was against this backdrop that JadEr emerged, an educational project designed to train younger generations in the basic principles of permaculture, sustainable development and global citizenship. JadEr was not born as a side project, but as a structural response to the crisis and imposed immobility.

Between 2020 and 2021, ABRAM is gradually realizing that its action is not limited to international solidarity: it also has a strong educational mission, essential for preparing tomorrow’s citizens to understand and transform the world they live in.
